An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Digital Portfolio of Forensic Investigation Unit (FIU) as a Frontline Digital Technical Supervisor.

Opportunities are available force wide to start your career in digital forensics. The role involves supporting the investigation of serious crime within West Yorkshire. Providing administrative and technical support to the team, you will be responsible for acquiring data from many types of digital device, including mobile phones. You will form part of the triage process for all levels of digital investigations.

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you can demonstrate experience as a CSI from volume through to major crime. 

As part of this exciting transformation, we are seeking to recruit a number of Fingerprint Identification Officers within our Fingerprint Bureau. 

Can you combine technical ability with an investigative and analytical approach to criminal investigations with a passion to provide the best possible service to victims of crime?

The overall purpose of the role is to maintain efficient administrative support within the Forensic Submissions Team by providing daily supervision and line management to two small teams of Forensic Administrators and to assist the Forensic Marketplace & Submissions Manager in managing the unit’s workload.

As part of the overall investment into Forensic Services within Thames Valley Police, we are seeking to attract and recruit experienced CSIs at all levels to join our team. You will already possess a proven background in Crime Scene Examination with demonstrable performance at the highest level.
