The successful candidates will join a team of Scene Examiners carrying out crime scene examinations.
You will be responsible for the forensic preservation, recovery, enhancement and presentation of evidential multimedia.
To take responsibility for the management of the technical investigation including securing and retrieving data from seized computer systems and mobile devices
As a key decision maker, you will drive forward continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the operational performance of the CSI team and its compliance with the Forensic Science Regulator’s Codes.
In this integral role, you will provide technical expertise, specifically for cases involving the supply of controlled drugs (County Drug Lines), co-ordinating multi-disciplinary forensic submissions to internal and external laboratories.
To provide expertise in the recovery and evaluation of forensic and photographic evidence ensuring maximisation of evidential retrieval
You will be working under the direction of the Technical Manager, and Senior Technical Officers, completing relevant tasks relating to accreditation in ISO17025, ISO17020 and Forensic Science Regulator Code of Practice, ensuring all equipment and staff are compliant with the unit and accreditation requirements.
As a Senior Forensic Scientist, you’ll have the opportunity to drive priority projects, integrate new forensic technologies, and deliver essential services for the UK and its interests.
Reporting to a CSI Supervisor and based within one of the operational CSI hubs; you will provide operational and logistical support to the CSI team.
