From February 2021 the Forensic Capability Network (FCN) will be responsible for delivering DNA sampling kits.

The framework, which went live on the 3rd February, has been transferred to the FCN from the Home Office. FCN will be also be responsible for owning and developing the specification for the kits.

Mel Gelling, FCN Commercial Manager for Physical Forensics said:

“We want to continue improving the available products so we’ll be developing the specifications, as well as supporting more competition in the market. Work is already underway to improve the look of the kits, so keep an eye out for them.”
