How do you help the FCN’s stakeholders in policing and beyond?

Providing administrative support to the FCN Programme. Ensure all aspects of general clerical and administrative support are effectively carried out. Specific areas of service include record keeping, minute taking, liaison with external Forces, research, collation and preparation of agendas/papers in respect of the FCN Delivery Plan.

What is your favourite part of your role?

Supporting my colleagues within the FCN as well as external colleagues on National Boards. The opportunity to learn all things Forensics (Digital, Physical, Marketplace) from both the Quality and Science Directorates. The admin role gives me the opportunity to connect with a community of forensic practitioners and leaders in order to gather information, share best practice and learn.

What was your first job in policing or forensics?

I first started with Devon & Cornwall Police in the Learning & Development department dealing with training requirements for both Police Officers and Police staff. I then moved on to work in Resourcing & Recruitment supporting the secondment of staff onto the FCN Transforming Forensics Programme and then with the recruitment of permanent staff onto FCN.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Walking, swimming, travelling and spending time with the grandchildren.
