Almost 400 people from across law enforcement, academia and the private sector joined an FCN-hosted webinar on 14 October, to look at Opinion Evidence in Cell Site Analysis.

Representatives from 39 forces in England and Wales, along with colleagues from colleges and universities and private sector providers came together to hear keynote presentations from Dr Gillian Tully, Forensic Science Regulator, and Matt Tart, Principal Expert with CCL Forensics, and join a Q&A session with Neil Matthews and Jim Ariss (East Midlands Special Operations Unit) Paula Mulroy (FCN) and John Beckwith and Kevin Sullivan (Transforming Forensics). The event covered the challenges in Cell Site Analysis, existing support and how, together, we might better tackle the issues in future.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to all our speakers, and to Brian Collins (Derbyshire Police) for suggesting the idea as a way of meeting CPD needs The event was a great example of how, supported by the FCN, we can come together in a truly networked way to help respond to a clear policing need.

A recording of the session and copies of the presentation can be found below. Please feel free to share them with colleagues who were unable to attend.

We want future events to directly respond to the needs of FCN members and the law enforcement community. If you have suggestions or requests, please let us know.
