This one day conference for professionals involved in sexual offence investigations is being held at the iconic Edgbaston cricket ground in Birmingham.

Our speakers will explore how close collaboration between forensic healthcare practitioners (FHPs), police investigators, CSIs, CPS and forensic scientists is helping to unlock the potential of forensic evidence recovered in sexual offence investigations. You will also learn how ongoing developments are pushing the scientific boundaries and delivering additional forensic capability to support investigations and successful prosecutions.

Delegates will hear from a Forensic Health Practitioner; forensic scientists specialising in Sexual Offence investigations; forensic Research and Development scientists; as well as from police investigators.  We have two police casework talks to demonstrate forensic science in action, one given by Norfolk Constabulary, who will present with one of Cellmark’s scientists on a series of cold case sexual offence investigations where forensic science has assisted in obtaining detections; and the second by Kent police who will talk with one of our scientists about the incredible forensic work which led to the identification of Bedsit killer David Fuller after 30 years, which went on to be one of the biggest investigations the force has ever undertaken.
