The FCN supports the community across different aspects of workforce management. This includes recruitment and retention, education and training, wellbeing of practitioners and workforce planning.
We are working with the forensic community across sectors, policing, academia and private practice to prove the most effective support and guidance for policing.
Identified priorities
- Continuation of the Level 4 Digital Forensic Technician and Level 7 Advanced Digital Forensic Professional apprenticeships and embed within policing and learning providers, with ongoing support &coordination O
- Development of the Level 4 Physical Forensic apprenticeship
- Continued facilitation of publication of up to date and fit for purpose national guidance/good practice advice, to support national decision making
- Support forensic practitioner wellbeing engaging with national groups, including Oscar Kilo, the NPCC workforce coordination committee and the NPCC recruitment, retention and wellbeing of investigators committee.
- Advocate for the forensic community in relation to wellbeing.
