Our Knowledge Base gives members the latest guidance and information on CSI and fingerprint techniques, ensuring everyone has equal access to up-to-date professional advice. Other disciplines will be catered for in future.
A national Knowledge Base avoids gaps in information between members, prevents duplication of effort or people unknowingly holding obsolete and inaccurate information, and creates a more efficient way of working.
How it works
Information is made available for all members on Knowledge Hub and in a simple embedded document called ‘Knowledge on a Page’. This Knowledge on a Page is pushed out to the community.
The information includes links to FSR requirements, standards, scientific literature and lessons learnt. It collates current knowledge from forces, industry, agencies and academia.
In future, a knowledge management system will enable members to access all information at point of use, with each technique linked to a status from unverified to supported.
