The FCN will belong to, and be guided by, its members.
Governance will be streamlined and will complement, rather than conflict with or duplicate, the broader policing governance landscape.
The FCN will have its own Executive Board, which will be responsible for shaping and implementing the FCN’s strategic delivery plan. This plan will be designed to support the work of the NPCC Forensics Portfolio Board and its sub-portfolios, and the work of the Police Reform and Transformation Board (PRTB), operating through the Transforming Forensics Programme.
One of the FCN core team’s key roles is to provide the capacity and expertise needed to be able to progress these strategic agendas.
