What should I do?

FCN went live on 1st April 2020 following considerable work and planning, led by the Transforming Forensics programme. There is a dedicated FCN project team within this programme.

Every police force and law enforcement body in the UK has a single point of contact for the Transforming Forensics programme, with regular events held to provide information, consult, and gather feedback and views as the FCN concept has been designed.

All Chief Constables and Senior Scientific Managers (SSMs) have been given a copy of the FCN Prospectus, the detailed blueprint for the network, and it has been discussed regularly at Chief Constables’ Council and other forums.

If you would like to know more about FCN, you can:

  • Talk to your SSM
  • Read the FCN Prospectus
  • Keep checking this website for updates
  • Follow our progress on social media

You can see more about how FCN will change the way we respond to and manage a range of scenarios and issues on our ‘What’s Changing?’ page.
